Del Taco Gift Card Terms & Conditions

 Your Del Taco gift card can only be used at participating Del Taco restaurants. GIFT CARDS MAY NOT BE USED TO PURCHASE OTHER GIFT CARDS. The value on this card WILL NOT be replaced if lost, stolen, destroyed, altered, or used without permission. This card cannot be redeemed for cash and no change will be given unless required by applicable law. This card is not a debit or credit card and has no implied warranties. This card does not expire and no dormancy fees will be charged. Use of this card constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Gift Card Basics

Where can Del Taco plastic and virtual gift cards be used?

Del Taco gift cards can be used at any participating US Del Taco location, excluding Guam. Please visit our site at DelTaco.com to find the closest restaurant near you.

What is an eGift card?

An eGift card is an electronic gift card that can be received via email or smartphone device and redeemed in one of our participating Del Taco locations. eGift cards work similarly to plastic gift cards, except that the eGift barcode is scanned by our team members, instead of a card being swiped. We expect to offer this type of gift card beginning in late 2018/early 2019.

How do I activate my card(s) once I receive them?

The gift cards will arrive activated and ready for use.

Do the gift cards ever expire?

No, our gift cards do not expire, nor do we charge any service fees on any unused balances.

Can I include a personal message with my online gift card order?

Yes, when ordering gift cards, there is an option to personalize the message on the carrier. Please note that the message will be the same for every gift card in a single order. If multiple messages are needed, each will need to be a separate order.

What if the gift cards are lost or stolen?

Please treat a gift card as you would cash; the value of the lost or stolen card is non-refundable and non-replaceable. If your order was lost or stolen during shipment, please contact our customer service department.

How do I check the balance of a gift card?

Is there a minimum amount and/or maximum amount I can put on a gift card?

Yes, our gift cards have a minimum value of $10 and a maximum value of $100 per card. The maximum gift card order total is $500.

Adding money to my current gift card.

Del Taco gift cards can be reloaded at any of our participating restaurants in any whole dollar amount from $5-$100. Unfortunately, we do not currently offer a reload option on our website.

CA Gift Card Redemption

Valid Del Taco-issued gift cards are redeemable for cash at Del Taco restaurants located in California when the card has a cash value of LESS THAN $10.00 at the time a redemption request is made.

Payment & Billing

What are my payment choices?

We accept AMERICAN EXPRESS, VISA, MASTERCARD, and DISCOVER CARD only. Please note that we will not ship your order until we receive valid payment from you.

When will my credit card be charged?

Your credit card will be charged at the time you submit your order.

Do I pay sales tax on the purchase of a Del Taco gift card?

Sales tax is not applied to the purchase of gift cards, however, purchases paid for with gift cards are subject to sales tax.

Shipping

Should I choose FREE USPS (First Class Mail) shipping or one of your expedited shipping options?

We offer FREE USPS, FedEx Ground, FedEx 2 Day, and FedEx Overnight. Shipping times will begin after your order is processed. During heavy volume times, please allow 3-5 days to process your order.
USPS FREE SHIPPING
We utilize USPS First Class Mail for our free shipping option. This shipping option does not provide any tracking information. Once your order has shipped, please allow 7-10 business days for arrival. You will receive an email notifying you that your order has shipped.

International Shipping

Unfortunately, we do not ship to international addresses.

Handling Fee

Is there a handling fee applied to each order?

Yes, a nominal handling fee will be added to all orders.

Returns & Exchanges

How do I cancel my order?

If you have already placed your order and wish to cancel it, please contact customer service. Please include your order #.

How do I return my product?

If you wish to return an item that you have received, please contact customer service. Please include your order #. In order to receive a full refund, all items in your order must be included in the refund (including any promotional coupons) and the gift cards must have full value.

When will the credit appear on my credit card account?

Credits usually take 3-5 business days from the time we receive the returned item(s) before you will see it on your credit card statement.

I received the wrong or damaged product.

If you feel that you have received the wrong product, or your order was received damaged, please contact customer service within 72 hours of receiving the product. Please include your order #.
